North Fort Myers vandals sought
FOX 4 Staff
NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - An early morning dip in a North Fort Myers pool could result in some jail time for three young men.
The trio decided to go swimming at Carriage Village just after 3:30 a.m. on July 20. In the process they dismantled an expensive video surveillance system leaving the community with repairs costing upwards of $1,000.
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is hoping the public can put names to the faces caught on video.
After going for a swim, the three proceeded to damage the high tech infrared license plate reader, as well as some outdoor lighting. They seemed to be aware of the camera as one vandal made an obscene gesture toward the lens.
Anyone with information on the trio is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477), All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
