CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Fox Four Troubleshooter is getting results for a Cape Coral man who found out he had to buy back his jewelry after it was stolen and sold to a pawnshop.
When Dale Bonner reached out to Fox Four in Your Corner originally, he had two options: either buy back his stolen jewerly from the Cash Checking shop it was sold to, or take the matter to court.
Today, the manager of the Cash Checking shop at 631 East Cape Coral Parkway called Bonner to let him know he could pick up his jewelry at no cost.
He said he's happy to be reunited with his necklaces, which he's had for more than 30 years. He's even happier about how he got it back.
"The people at the check cashing store are above the law I think, they do what's right," he said.
Under Florida law, the store does not have to give Bonner his jewelry back without Bonner paying for it, but chose to do so out of kindness.
