CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A Cape Coral man added this week to the Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers' 10 Most Wanted list was arrested this morning in Fort Lauderdale.
Anthony Miller was a accused child molester who was added to the list on Tuesday.
An anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers was received 24 hours later and that helped lead law enforcement to his whereabouts.
Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Warrant Task Force and the Lee County Sheriff's Office worked with authorities on Florida's east coast to help capture Miller.
He is being booked at the Fort Lauderdale Police Department and will eventually be taken back to Lee County.
"Crime Stoppers is extremely grateful to the anonymous tipster who provided information on Miller's whereabouts," said Trish Routte, Crime Stoppers Coordinator. "This quick turnaround from the time Mr. Miller was placed on the 10 Most Wanted list to the time he was arrested this morning is a testament that the program works."
46-year-old Anthony Richard Miller is accused of performing horrific acts upon at least one young girl. Miller faces charges of lewd and lascivious conduct, the solicitation of sexual activity with a child and lewd and lascivious molestation, which is considered a life felony.
Miller is described by more than one victim as a bully with a drug habit and a fiery temper. He is accused of forcing himself upon at least one young victim multiple times between March 2012 and March 2013.
His young victim says Miller would touch her inappropriately, often leaving bruises on the child.
