FORT MYERS, Fla. - Even though the Adamski's are out of critical condition, they still have a long road to recovery ahead of them.
But that road may be a little less bumpy, thanks to the community and Sunshine Ace Hardware.
All six Sunshine Ace Hardware stores held a cookout and will give 100% of the donations to Naples firefighter Corey Adamski and his family.
"All the managers jumped on board and were really excited to do this because it's such a good cause," Sean Black, the store manager at the San Carlos store, said.
Corey Admanski, his pregnant wife Kristine and their two young daughters were all seriously hurt in a head-on crash on State Road 82. Kristine had an emergency C-section, but the baby died days later.
