Naples makes list as home to many millionaires

NAPLES, Fla.- One Southwest Florida city made the list of where millionaires live in America. Naples taking a top spot on the list.
"I think they like the small town feeling of Naples and it offers so many cultural things to do no matter what their interest or hobbies," said Jackie May, Realtor with Prudential Florida Realty.
An article on Kiplinger.com, a personal finance magazine, lists Naples as one of the top cities where millionaires live in America saying the beautiful beaches, warm weather and golf courses make Naples an easy choice. Jackie May, a realtor, has been selling to the wealthy for more than 20 years in Port Royal. She showed Fox 4 a home on Rum Road selling for $8.9 million dollars.
"It has a main house with 3 bedrooms and then a guest house with its own kitchen, bathroom and garage," said May.
Another house she showed Fox 4 is selling for $6.2 million also in the Port Royal neighborhood. It sits on the water and by boat you can get to 42 different restaurants. Jackie says her clients come from all over.
"We have alot from the Midwest, alot from California, New England, Georgia. They come from all over the world."
There are about 320,000 people living in Naples and there's nearly 12,000 millionaire households meaning millionaires make up nearly 9 percent of the Naples population.
Naples also made another list. RealtyTrac named Naples one of the best places to retire and invest in real estate.
