LEE COUNTY, Fla - Two women were injured in a Sunday evening crash that shut down parts of I-75 in Lee County.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 31-year-old Tiffany Miller and 54-year-old Sherri Miller, both of Lehigh Acres, are in serious condition because of that crash.
Just before 8 p.m., the women were headed south on I-75 near mile marker 118, just north of the Bonita Beach Road exit, when a vehicle veered into their lane.
Troopers say that caused the women to veer off the road and roll over on the side of I-75.
The other vehicle involved fled the scene and is described as a beige van.
Tiffany was airlifted to Lee Memorial Hospital, Sherri was taken there by ambulance.
The road was reopened a short time after the crash.
