Tracking the Tropics: Long odds
FOX 4 Storm Patrol
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - There continues to be a low chance (10%) for a trough of low pressure in the western Gulf of Mexico to strengthen to a tropical cyclone over the next 48 hours.
The greatest concentration of tropical moisture is located over the western Gulf, but wind sheer is creating an environment that may only allow slow development for the next couple of days.
Elsewhere in the Atlantic and the Caribbean, conditions are very quiet and expected to remain that way.
