FORT MYERS, Fla. - An argument early Tuesday morning ended with a burned out pickup and two Fort Myers teenagers behind bars by Tuesday evening.
The victim says he fought with his girlfriend's son, 18-year-old Caleb Hicks, outside his home in Fort Myers. The man told Lee County deputies he told Hicks to leave and went inside. When he came back out Hicks was gone and so was his 2008 Ford 250 pickup. The victim learned from his girlfriend that her son was probably with 19-year-old Brett Leitner
Later Tuesday morning a call came into the Lehigh Acres Fire Department about a vehicle fire behind Harms Marsh Elementary School. It turned out to be the stolen Ford pickup truck.
A Lee County detective caught up to Hicks at the Riverdale Shopping Center and took him into custody along with Leitner. Both are charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and 2nd degree arson.
