EAST NAPLES, Fla. - An East Naples man didn't get the housewarming he expected on Monday. He called deputies as he was moving into his new home when he found a man standing in his living room wearing his son's clothes.
51-year-old man John Fitzpatrick was arrested on a felony charge of burglary with assault or battery and a misdemeanor petty theft charge.
During the confrontation investigators say Fitzpatrick insisted the house was his and told the new homeowner to leave. The victim says Fitzpatrick pushed him and that's when he hit his attacker in the head with a pool cue.
Fitzpatrick claimed he was sleeping in his bedroom when his neighbor entered him home and hit him in the head with a baseball bat.
