Former Lee deputy arrested for stealing iPad

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A former Lee County deputy fired in 2005 for a graphic video tape was arrested Friday for stealing an iPad for a Cape Coral WalMart.
Gina Wiseley was part of a high profile internal investigation by the Lee County Sheriff's Office. She had initially been fired by former Sheriff Rod Shoap for hitting golf balls in her office. A lawsuit prompted Sheriff Mike Scott to hire her back.
Then a videotape emerged showing Wiseley at the 2001 Fantasy Fest in Key West dancing and touching herself. A controversy erupted about whether or not leadership at the Sheriff's Office knew about the tape when Wiseley was rehired.
Wiseley is now accused of stealing a $459.00 iPad from the WalMart at 1619 Del Prado on Tuesday June 25, 2013.
Store surveillance video showed Wiseley taking the iPad. When questioned later by Cape Coral police she initially admitted to take the device but then later stopped cooperating with officers.
Wiseley is charged with grand theft.
