FORT MYERS, Fla. - A cat shooting investigation is underway in Fort Myers. The animal was shot in the area of Winkler Avenue and McGregor Boulevard around May 31st.
A nearby resident found the cat and took him to a veterinarian for treatment. The cat suffered a wound to its front left leg from a .22 caliber bullet.
This is the second cat shooting in less than two months that Lee County Domestic Animal Services has investigated. The other incident happened in Lehigh Acres in late April.
