Cape Coral man arrested for kidnap/torture of girlfriend

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Cape Coral police arrested a 39-year-old man on multiple felony charges including kidnapping.
The ordeal for the victim started late Monday night when Jason Scott Seaman accused his girlfriend of looking up her ex-boyfriend on Facebook. The two began kicking and punching each other and Seaman put the woman's head in the toilet bowl.
Following that fight Seaman than smothered the victim with a pillow. Later he threatened to kill her lurching at her with a curling bar in an attempt to hit her.
The victim told police that Seaman then brought in a bottle of bleach, duct tape, spray paint cans and a lighter into the bedroom with two S hooks to restrain her. Seaman threatened to cut her and pour bleach in her wounds.
Seaman tied her up and told her they would both die tonight. He then used the can of spray paint and light it on fire threatening to burn her hand and mouth.
Later on Tuesday she managed to escape and called police. Seaman is charged with false imprisonment, aggravated assault, felony battery by strangulation.
