Weapons call leads to arrests at Cape Coral park

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A call to Cape Coral police about a man armed with a rifle at Saratoga Lake Park Tuesday afternoon led to three arrests.
Officers arrived and spotted 34-year-old Richard Ball holding a rifle and arguing with two women inside a parked car.
Officers ordered Ball to drop the weapon and he was detained. The gun turned out to be a pellet gun. A pat down revealed Ball had narcotics. As officers approached the cars they spotted 36-year-old Mary Jones trying to hide items.
Jones and a second woman, Ashley Hoffrichter, 25, were detained. Police found 12 bottles of narcotics in the car, 213.3 grams of Hydrocodone and 125.9 grams of Alprazolam.
Jones was arrested on charges possession of a controlled substance, trafficking an opium derivative, providing a false name to law enforcement and driving while license suspended.
Ball was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Hoffrichter was arrested and charged with an outstanding warrant.
