Sunken ship turns into art gallery

SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. - A new art gallery just opened up, but it may be harder to get to than you think.

You're going to have to scuba dive to get there!

World renown artist Andreas Franke led a team to the USS Mohawk about 30 miles of the coast of Sanibel Island, where he installed 12 of his photographs within the sunken ship.

The images depict life aboard the WWII warship, which was attacked by Nazi submarines more than 14 times.

"I want to swim around, and see these images, exactly in the place where it started," Franke said. "Where everything happened."

The photographs will be on display in the USS Mohawk until September 14th.
