CAPE CORAL, Fla. - It's an endangered species in the state of Florida that happens to call this Cape Coral neighborhood home. Most people who live close to this nest of burrowing owls love the little guys.
"I mean they really are our friends. They eat rodents -- they eat all kinds of undesirable things," says Perri Williamson, a resident near the nest of owls.
But Perri Williamson says there's at least one person in the neighborhood who doesn't feel the same way.
"He had a golf club," said Williamson, "he was kinda swinging this golf club!"
Williamson added, that her neighbor told her that he actually saw the accused owl attacker hit a bird and throw it into a ditch.
So she immediately called police to find out she was not the first person to report this problem - she was the third.
