NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - Governor Scott's signing of a law ordering the closure of adult arcades have left some people out of the money. They can't get in contacts with anyone to find out how to collect their winnings.
Four in Your Corner's Dave Culbreth went looking for answers.
A man who tipped us off the the problem told us, ""What I don't like is the fact that they just closed and contact your representative. It's not my problem type attitude"
The man didn't want to be identified. He says people should know how this particular arcade in North Fort Myers did business, "They just kinda disappeared. Shut the door, lock the door and gone. And we have no way of getting in touch with them.
When he did hear it was shut down he went the next day to try and collect his winnings. The adult arcades worked this way. Instead of winning money, you received a gift card worth cash.
Our victim says another arcade he played at operated differently, "The other place put a sign up that said we will be here at such and such a time to straighten out the accounts or whatever"
The landlord of the building says the arcade owners did give some gift cards back to some customers. Dave says he tried calling the landlord to get details but never heard back.
