CAPE CORAL, Fla. - The National Transportation Safety Board is suggesting that all 50 states adopt stricter blood alcohol rules. The NTSB wants the current .08 BAC dropped to .05.
Jay Anderson runs the program, "Stay Alive, Just Drive" and says "Many states were opposed to .08 so I'm sure that the same states that were opposed to .08 oppose .05."
According to the Associated Press, none of these organizations, which you might expect to support the NTSB are endorsing the idea, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Triple A and the National Trasnportation Safety Administration.
In 2011 Florida had more than 108,000 people with three or more DUI convictions, 13,000 with five or more and more than 700 people died because of a drunk driver.
