Viewers Voice: Hertz world headquarters will be in Lee County

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - The comments are flooding in mostly optimistic that Hertz plans to lay ground here in Southwest Florida.
The Fortune 500 company announced Tuesday that it plans to move its world headquarters to Estero.
The promise of hundreds of jobs and high salaries are drawing excitement from many Fox Four viewers looking forward to more employment opportunities.
Hertz projects 700 new jobs will be brought to the area with salaries exceeding $100,000.
Cindy posted to Facebook, "I'm all for more jobs!!!"
Glenn said he was looking for a job writing in part, "I believe any new industry is great for our economy...this is a start and maybe more will follow."
Scott is concerned about what the county and taxpayers are paying to get Hertz here asking, "How desperate is this county/state?"
Stephanie sees only the positive posting, "Extremely beneficial spin-offs. New residents will need homes, furnishings, groceries, theater tickets, gardening equipment, banking services, insurance, increased travel at RSW, more shopping at nearby Coconut Point, the list goes on and on."
Hertz is the world's largest rental car agency.
