Information needed in Lehigh home invasion

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Lee County Detectives need help in finding information on a home invasion on Sunday evening in Lehigh Acres.

Around 11:55 p.m. deputies responded to Ted Avenue in Lehigh Acres in reference to an attempted robbery and shooting.

Deputies met with the two victims who stated that two unknown black males carrying firearms entered the residence and attempted to rob them. 

During the altercation, one occupant was shot in the stomach. 

The victim was transported to an area hospital and is being treated for injuries that appear to be non life threatening at this time. 

The Lee County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
