CAPE CORAL, Fla. - New York's 9/11 museum will be charging $20 to $25 to get in.
The exact cost of the mandatory fee hasn't been decided yet but the museum's board says a fee will help with operating costs.
Costs to run the museum and the memorial are expected to be $60 million a year.
Many Fox Four viewers think it should be free to visit.
Brenda posted to the Fox Four Facebook page, "I think it's shameful that people would have to pay to come to pay their respects."
Kim wrote, "I understand the need to charge but I think 20-25 is a bit too much."
Sheri said, "That's a good way to keep from educating our kids, few can afford that."
Rhiannon suggested, "Perhaps a donation should be required."
Speaking to a New York radio station, Charles Wolf, whose wife died in the attacks said, "I don't have a problem with it, because to tell the whole story of 9/11 requires a big exhibit, and that will require a lot of ongoing maintenance costs."
The site is scheduled to open in spring of 2014.
