FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - The U.S. Coast Guard Sunday night pulled five boaters from the Gulf after their boat started taking on water.
The boaters were about a mile off shore when they called rescuers shortly after 7 p.m. reporting their boat was starting to capsize and they needed assistance.
A 33-foot Special Purpose Craft-Law Enforcement boatcrew from Fort Myers Beach was sent to the rescue and removed the men from the water.
The guard reported a few were cold and upset but had no major injuries.
The five boaters all had their lifejackets on.
