FORT MYERS, Fla. - It's a riddle until the company's revealed.
"Are you curious?" asked Fox 4 reporter Gabrielle Sarann to Melissa Miller, of Fort Myers. "Very curious!"
Many want to know WHAT it's called and WHERE the Fortune 500 corporation could land in Lee county.
"where would you like to see it locate?" asked Sarann. "Right over here," replied Bobby Slabe, the general manager of Stevie Tomatos in Fort Myers.
Slabe wants to see it by I-75 close to his sports bar and restaurant.
"Lunch times would probably increase," hoped Slabe. "People on break during lunch hours from 12 to 1 p.m."
County commissioners claim not to know the name yet. But at last Tuesday's meeting, a few details were dished.
The agreement, called "Project A" according to government documents, would employ 700 people in a building about 300 thousand-square-feet. The average salary would be about $100 thousand.
"For the real estate market, it's going to be very positive," said Nathan Shaw, a realtor in Fort Myers.
Shaw anticipates new employees will likely look at newly constructed homes, gated communities and downtown condos.
"What types of buyers are they?" asked Sarann. "[They would be] professional buyers buying homes for $300,000 to $400,000."
That announcement, commissioners say, is expected this week.
