4 in your corner caught up with some passengers who flew in from Minneapolis who were excited to see southwest Florida after spending the past few days surrounded in snow.
Bruce Goldstein's loved and lived in Minnesota his entire life but he's had enough of its so called spring. " It was snowing in Minneapolis this morning in fact It might still be snowing now." Goldstein said.
He packed up and headed down to the Sunshine State to enjoy all southwest Florida has to offer, "I have a little place down here in Naples and we go back and forth and this will be a fun weekend I have a friend here and were going to play golf and enjoy the weekend." Goldstein said.
It was a similar story for other passengers flying the coop to escape the frigid May temperatures up north. "We are here to enjoy the wonderful weather because we aren't having that back at home." Elaine Waggoner said.
Great news for Florida businesses serving and supplying these spur of the moment visitors.
" A lot of seafood, the beach. Without just being out there in the sunshine." Waggoner said.
And these travelers hope their hometowns heat up, before returning to reality.
