COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - A crash late Friday night on I-75 at mile marker 100 involving three vehicles sent two people to Naples area hospitals with minor injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the man responsible for causing the crash has never had a driver's license and was driving under the influence.
FHP investigators believe Marcelo Alberto Segovia Barahona, 32, from Miami, was driving at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic when his Honda hit a GMC Safari driven by 51-year-old Rosalin Eden Rich of Naples.
The crash sent Barahona's Honda into another Honda driven by 40-year-old Eduardo Henao of Palmetto.
When troopers finished sorting out the details they found that none of the drivers involved in the crash could show proof of insurance.
Barahona will face charges of driving without a license, driving under the influence and wreckless driving.
