American flight makes emergency landing at SWFL International Airport
FORT MYERS, Fla. - American Airlines flight 675 bound from Miami to Dallas made an emergency landing shortly after 7 a.m. at Southwest Florida International Airport.
According to an airline rep, 182 people were on board. No one was hurt when the Boeing 757 made an emergency landing after someone reported an electrical smell in the cabin.
The Boeing 757 is being searched by ground crews and bomb sniffing dogs to determine the cause for the emergency landing. The airline rep tells Fox 4, the plane will be serviced and returned to the fleet.
No American Airlines passengers bound for a different afternoon flight to Chicago said they were concerned at all about the emergency landing or other troubles the airline has had recently.
