FORT MYERS, Fla. - The family of two men killed in a shooting overnight Saturday tell FOX 4 the two were cousins and close friends.
Published reports show the men are 20-year-old Paul Baldwin and 17-year-old Jiatarious Brunson who also goes by 'JoJo.'
The family say Brunson was a sophomore at Fort Myers High and a part of the football team. And they say Baldwin graduated from South Fort Myers High and has been accepted to Kansas State Univeristy.
The reports show police got the call around 11:30 Saturday night about gunshots on Capulet Lane in the Renaissance Preserve Community.
The two men were taken to a local hospital where they died.
No word on a possible suspect.
Neighbors who heard the gunshots, and also knew the cousins, tell FOX 4 the two were good kids.
"What are you going to miss most about them?" asked Fox 4 reporter Gabrielle Sarann to 12-year-old Teasia Brown, their cousin. "Their smile, their laughs and the conversations we used to have."
Neighbor Emma Esdelle added, " Paul always played basketball with the kids and JoJo did too. They were very, very friendly boys."
