FORT MYERS, Fla. - It was no ordinary Lee County school board meeting Tuesday night but then again how could it be with four current investigations going on within the board and some are more significant than others.
One of course has the Florida department of education investigating whether Superintendent Dr. Joseph Burke acted appropriately when he squashed an investigation into one of his top assistants showing up to work drunk.
The other has the Florida department of law enforcement investigating whether board member Jeannie Dozier forged an e-mail she handed to other board members in a public hearing March 5th.
The Florida department of law enforcement is investigating the matter.
FOX 4 tried to get some answers from Jeannie Dozier about all this and was told her attorney has advised her not to talk about it.
No word at Tuesdays meeting about whether Dr. Burke will retire or stay on as Superintendent.
