CREATED Apr. 9, 2013

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - Fire this morning destroyed a historic farm home in southern Charlotte County.

The call came in just before 9 a.m. where a passerby spotted the home in flames.

The 123-year-old property on Farrabee Farms had been last lived in by the property owners great grandmother but was currently vacant.

Fire officials believe the cause was electrical in nature.
