PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County deputies are looking for a suspect in two Friday night convenience store robberies in Port Charlotte.
The first armed robbery happened around 10 p.m. at a 7-Eleven located at 330 Kings Highway. Witnesses say the suspect was a man, about 5 foot tall, wearing a black hoodie and mask, demanding money.
The second call came about an hour later at a Circle K at 41 Tamiami Trail. The witness offered a similiar description and events that occurred during the first robbery.
That witness said the gunman was white or Hispanic, 5 foot tall, 100 to 130 pounds with a small build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and no shoes. He also had a gray mask covering his face and fled in a dark 4-door older model vehicle, possibly a Toyota with a Florida tag.
