FHP re-opens Alligator Alley
FOX 4 Staff
NAPLES, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol re-opened Alligator Alley shortly after 10 a.m.
The FHP closed that section of I-75 after 3 a.m. due to poor visibility. They also closed SR 29 during that period due to smoke and fog but that roadway has also been re-opened to traffic.
FHP Troopers will be monitoring the visibility conditions in the affected areas throughout the day and nighttime hours. All motorists are encouraged drive cautiously!
The highway was also closed early Monday due to fog and smoke from a nearby brush fire.
