LABELLE, Fla. - A crash Sunday morning claimed the life of a LaBelle woman.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 80-year-old Violet Raulerson was driving east on U.S. 27 approaching the intersection of 10th street when her car veered off the road and hit a crosswalk sign on the south shoulder.
Raulerson's car hit a tree then continued east where it slammed into an overhead light post in the parok lot of the University of Florida IFAS Glades County Extension Office.
The FHP hasn't revealed what may have led to the crash.
