FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - A fender bender with a Lee County Deputy on Fort Myers Beach Thursday night landed an Ohio woman in jail for DUI.
A deputy witnessed the accident when individuals flagged him down to point out two intoxicated people getting into a white Cadillac at the Lani Kai. The deputy watched the car back up and hit a marked Lee County Sheriff's Office patrol car.
The deputy talked to the driver, 53-year-old Constance Dease-Klamet and asked her if she had been drinking. She admitted to have one Vodka.
A field sobriety test followed and based on the deputy's observations Dease-Klamet was arrested.
She then asked for a breath test and it showed that she had a blood alcohol content of .180 and .174, more than double the legal limit.
She was charged with a DUI that caused property damage.
