FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Federal Aviation Administration back up Friday's bad news for three Southwest Florida air traffic control towers with closure dates for those towers today.
The FAA is targeting the three towers and 146 others across the nation because of federal sequester budget cuts.
A letter from the American Association of Airport Executives says the FAA plans to close the tower at Naples Municipal Airport on Sunday, May 5.
The towers at Page Field in Fort Myers and Punta Gorda Airport will close on Sunday, April 21.
