Charlotte County crashes injures 7, 1 critically

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - A three vehicle crash in Charlotte County Saturday morning injured seven people, including a Fort Myers woman critically.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the three vehicles were traveling north on SR 31 near Horseshoe Road when 44-year-old Chitra Victor pulled his Hyundai off the road into the driveway of Earth Source. Victor tried to make a u-turn back on SR 31.
41-year-old Guadalupe Salvador Perez of LaBelle swerved his SUV to the left across the highway onto the grass shoulder and started spinning out of control before it overturned. Perez and his two passengers suffered minor injuries.
The FHP says that a pickup driven 51-year-old Allen Jeffrey Wright of Immokalee was follow the SUV. Wright slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting Victor's car but slammed into the passenger side door.
Wright suffered minor injuries while the crash left 75-year-old Lily Paul Victor of Fort Myers in critical condition and Chitra Victor in serious condition. Two other passengers in the Hyundai suffered minor injuries.
The FHP cited Victor for failure to yield.
