PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - A traffic stop in Port Charlotte Thursday led to the arrest of an 18-year-old and two 17-year-olds because of drugs found in their vehicle and outstanding warrants.
A Charlotte County deputy stopped a pickup driven by Gerald Bradford Foster. A search revealed three baggies of marijuana and two baggies of MDMA. $185 in cash was also found.
Foster was also wanted along with the two 17-year-olds for a robbery in Punta Gorda. The victim claims the trio took three rings and three shotguns from his home.
Punta Gorda detectives learned that one of the juveniles talked Foster and the other juvenile into burglarizing her grandparents’ home and were to steal whatever they could.
Foster drove them to the home when the grandparents were away, and stole the rings and shotguns. Two shotguns were sold and Foster kept one of them which was recovered. The report said Zepeda disposed of the rings.
Foster faces several drug charges while the 17-year-olds are facing theft charges. FOX 4 News does not name juvenile criminal suspects.
