CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A Colorado mom has tried everything to correct her two step-kids bad behavior, from grounding, to taking away privileges, to apology letters but her next move has the kids school stepping in.
Jessica Rocha sent them to school wearing T-shirts that say, "I steal" and "Bully" to teach them a lesson but the school isn't allowing it.
The school Superintendent said, "I respect her right to do what's best for her family, but I wish she would leave the school out of it. We cannot support something that is demeaning to the kids."
Many viewers are standing behind the mom's message.
Angela posted on our Facebook page, "The school needs to step aside and let the parent do just that, parent!"
Jessica said, "Love this idea! Good job mom!"
Sharon wrote, "What they (the kids) did was demeaning so punishment fits the crime!"
Jeanelle thought, "If the parent did her job right the first time she wouldn't have to traumatize these children into behaving."
Rocha says after one day of wearing the shirt at school, her stepdaughter has stopped stealing.
