CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A Florida lawmaker wants to do what she can to prevent crimes from happening in the "heat of the moment".
Senator Audrey Gibson is proposing a bill that would require anyone buying ammo to take a two hour anger management class every 10 years.
It would also require those who haven't taken the classes to wait three days before being able to buy a firearm.
Critics say the bill creates the assumption that all gun owners have anger issues.
"Whether you're going sport shooting or hunting or just want to be able to protect their family and loved ones, the legislature is presuming that there's some anger issues involved," said Forrest Buckwald, owner of Bucks Gun Rack.
Susan from North Fort Myers doesn't like the idea.
"The proposals they're coming up with to solve crimes are just ridiculous! are you kidding me?," said Susan.
"It's just another law they're trying to get through so they can control the ammo and the guns," said Ron.
Charlene from Boca Grande thinks there's a bigger plan.
"It's just another way to try and get names of citizens so when it comes time to try to take our firearms away they'll be able to find us."
But some think such a class is a great idea. Robert posting on our Facebook page, "I agree that it should be a priority without a doubt. It doesn't say that you possibly have anger issues just by taking the class. Everyone who would take that test would learn something positive whether they realize it or not."
