Dog shot with arrow now ready for adoption

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A dog found shot with an arrow on Pine Island is now ready for adoption according to Lee County Domestic Animal Services.
The blue pit bull, now called Boone, was found by a man who identified himself as Matt Frank at the intersection of Stringfellow Road and Pine Island Road on February 20.
Frank told LCDAS he pulled the arrow out and wanted to turn it over to an animal control officer.
The dog has recovered from its wound and since his owners have not come forward LCDAS says its ready for a new home.
