CREATED Feb. 20, 2013

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says the remains of a female panther kitten were found today in Collier County.

The 5-to 6-month-old panther was found on Everglades Boulevard South where it was apparently hit by a vehicle.

The remains will be taken to the FWC Wildlife Research Lab in Gainesville for a necropsy.  This is the 6th panther death and 4th road death in Florida for 2013.
