PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County detectives arrested a convicted felon for two burglaries Tuesday.
27-year-old Bo William "Baby Boy" Cleveland of Port Charlotte was linked to a Sunday burglary at Fish Cove Adventure Golf through fingerprints and a palm print.
Tuesday a deputy responded to a complaint of a beige Chevrolet van with two men taking scrap metal items from a home in the 21000 block of Peachland Boulevard.
The deputy located the van and made a traffic stop at Gibralter Drive and Birchcrest Boulevard in Port Charlotte. Deputies recognized Cleveland as a passenger in the van driven by a 43-year-old man.
The driver told deputies Cleveland asked him to give him a ride to pick up scrap metal at the Peachland Boulevard home. Cleveland also told him he had permission to enter the home owned by a bank.
In the rear of the van there was about 15 pounds of scrap metal and copper freshly cut along with miscellaneous tools and an outdoor grill.
Cleveland was arrested and taken to the Charlotte County Jail where he remains on no bond.
