CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A Cape Coral mom has a message to drivers in her neighborhood to protect her eight year old autistic son, Brody.
"If something were to happen to him, I would blame myself. There's only so much I can do to protect him", said Patti Taylor.
She says Brody doesn't react as quickly as other kids to speeding cars and other dangers.
She reached out to Fox Four asking for help in asking the city of Cape Coral to put up a caution or speed sign on Northeast 14th terrace.
According to city policy, special needs signs for blind and deaf children can go up with a written request from a parent and doctor but there's nothing else in place for other disabilities.
