CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Just a little more than 24 hours to go until 2013.
As the year winds down, Southwest Florida businesses are prepping for one of their busiest days of the year: New Year's Eve.
As Four In Your Corner's Colleen Hogan found out, it's a big day for business.
Allison Hurley and Brittany Brown are stocking up for their New Year's Eve party at ABC Fine Wine and Spirits in the Cape.
"We're gonna have a big party," Brown laughed.
The girls are hosting about 50 people at their home in the Cape, choosing to stay in instead of venturing out on the town.
"More fun, cheaper, safer," Hurley said.
"We have people coming in, they're buying stuff for their big parties," ABC Fine Wine and Spirits general manager Mike McBride said.
McBride says workers have been busy restocking shelves all day Sunday to keep up with demand. He says a steady stream of people have come in for champagne, craft beers, wines and spirits.
"Busy, busy, busy," he said. "Today was very busy, tomorrow we expect to be even busier."
Not everyone's staying in. The general manager of Leapin' Lizards in the Cape is expecting a big crowd for New Year's Eve.
"Tomorrow morning as soon as we get here, we're gonna get everything ready, get the building set up," Elwin 'Boogie' Duplantis said.
They're luring partiers in with no cover, live music and champagne at midnight.
No matter what your plans are, business owners say plan ahead.
The general manager of Leapin' Lizards says New Year's Eve is their second busiest day of the year, after Mother's Day.
