PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County narcotics detectives assisted by K9 and the Street Crimes Unit raided a Port Charlotte home early Wednesday morning and found a trailer containing a marijuana grow house.
Detectives arrested three Port Charlotte men in connection with the investigation which started in late September.
42-year-old Shawn Eric Davis, 20-year-old Shane Ryan Watson and 75-year-old Richard Dennis Davis all face drug related charges.
Investigators say Davis lived in one part and the pot operation was in the other. Power ran from the house to the trailer. Multiple high voltage lights were located, an air conditioning unit, and plants were fed with water via pipes and pumps.
Detectives seized six large marijuana plants (839 grams) and six small marijuana plans (7.9 grams). Also located in the trailer were three handguns, a shotgun, an AR-15, and over 1,600 rounds of ammunition. Inside the bedroom of Shawn Davis, detectives found 23.3 grams of marijuana and Hydrocodone pills. In Shane Watson’s bedroom, detectives found marijuana and a smoking pipe with residue.
