NAPLES - Hope for Haiti is looking for volunteers to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The organization needs 200 people to help pack supplies that will be taken to Les Cayes in southern Haiti.
The group is hoping to pack 75,000 meals consisting of rice, beans and nutrients.
The items are packed into buckets, which are then shipped to the island and distributed to the needy.
"It can keep a family of five going for a least a week. We include hygiene products and water purification tablets.
But right now because of the storm the crops have been washed away the livestock have been killed," said Elizabeth Davidson, executive director of Hope for Haiti.
The food packing event will be held Saturday December 8th at the Gulf Coast High School cafeteria located at 7878 Shark Way in Naples from 9-to-11a.m.
