FORT MYERS, Fla. - Volunteers and staff at the Salvation Army in downtown Ft. Myers are preparing to feed hundreds of people on Thanksgiving.
Cooks prepped turkeys, stirred stuffing and got the gravy going Wednesday morning, even as they made breakfest for clients.
The Salvation Army has enough food donations and volunteers to staff the Thanksgiving meal on Thursday until 2:00 p.m. but they could use volunteer bell ringers. A rep says holiday donations into the Red Kettles are in dire need, as they provide the funding to run the organization year round.
