Port Charlotte woman arrested for stabbing husband with skewer

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - An argument between a husband and wife ended with the Port Charlotte man stabbed six times with a 12 inch food skewer.
29-year-old Tammy Ellen Chance is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Charlotte County deputies received a domestic battery call to the Chance home Thursday afternoon.
The husband told deputies his wife grabbed the skewer and stabbed him. He in turned wrested the skewer away from his wife, bent it in half and threw it in the bathtub.
Tammy Chance retrieved the skewer, straightened it out, then followed her husband into the bedroom where she stabbed him again before leaving the house.
The husband had two puncture wounds on his right arm, three on his left arm, and one on his stomach.
When deputies caught up to Chance back at her home she said she hit her husband once with the skewer after he choked her. Deputies found no signs of any physical injury to her neck.
She was arrested and taken to the Charlotte County Jail where she remains on no bond. Tammy Chance is a convicted felon.
