Hurricane Sandy is now a Post-Tropical Cyclone and taking on the features of a large Nor'easter storm system.
Strong winds continue to surround the circulation; winds greater than 75 mph are starting to weaken along the Atlantic Coast of Virginia and Maryland, but much of the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic will have a windy day with continuing bands of rain surrounding the storm system.
Sandy is starting to draw dry air into its wind field which will bring down the rainfall and should help it weaken over the next couple of days. The center of the storm is forecast to track to the northwest across Pennsylvania followed by a turn towards western New York.
