Gasoline prices plummet in Southwest Florida

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Retail gasoline prices dropped across the Southeast as much as 12 cents. Prices at the pump are expected to continue to decline even as Hurricane Sandy threatens the East Coast.
According to the Energy Department amply supplies and contracting demand pushed oil prices to their lowest prices in three months.
The national average price of regular unleaded gasoline is $3.55, down 13 cents from a week ago. Florida's average is $3.52. Prices in the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area average from $3.53 to $3.62.
Meanwhile according to NaplesGasPrices.com the cost of regular unleaded in Naples fell 3.8 cents per gallon in the past week to $3.69 a gallon.
