Search on for Port Charlotte robbery suspect
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect who used a knife to demand money from the owners of the Asian Cai Lay Market in Port Charlotte.
The robbery occurred on Thursday October 18 at 7:11 p.m.
The suspect came into the store with a knife demanding money from the cash register. The manager refused to open but when the robber pointed his knife at another customer, demanded the money and then fled.
The suspect is about 6 foot tall, weighing about 180 to 200 pounds wearing a large farmer's style hat with a blue cloth over his face.
