FORT MYERS, Fla.- Republican Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan making several stops in Florida. Ryan campaigned in Ocala and then attended a private fundraiser in Naples. At the end of the night, Ryan took the stage for a rally in Fort Myers.
Country singer Lee Greenwood sung to the crowd of hundreds to jump start the rally. He sang his familiar song "God Bless the USA."
Congressman Ryan took the stage after sunset. He told the crowd they have a big decision to make on November 6th.
" We are going to have to decide what kind of country we are going to have and what kind of people we are going to be for a generation," said Ryan.
Ryan says it is time to change leadership at the top or Americans can expect 4 more years of the same.
"The guy who is yelling "Fire Obama back there" you get to do that on Nov. 6 we're gonna give you that chance," said Ryan.
The rally in Fort Myers is one of several stops for Ryan. He campaigned in Ocala and went to a private fundraiser in Naples. He says Romney is the leader Americans need and it's time to put someone in the White House who can create jobs.
"He is a guy who turned around struggling businesses who built businesses we know today like Sports Authority, Staples and Bright Horizons," said Ryan.
The VP candidate is now trying to keep up the momentum for the Romney/Ryan ticket as November 6th grows near.
Ryan arrives in West Palm Beach and Daytona on Friday.
